My hobby is to cast my telescope and camera's to the sky and capture photons from the universe. In doing so, I am capturing HISTORY. The following are some of the photos (good and not so good) which I have captured.

My goal was to photograph all Messier Objects from my home near Didsbury, Alberta Canada. This was completed late in 2009. I have a major city (Calgary) directly to the south of me. Some of the low in sky objects are very difficult to get from my location. I will post them all, light pollution included.
I work in the oil patch. This means that I am not home often enough when the skies are dark and I don't have to work the next day.
When I started working with others of the same interest, the quaility started to get better.
One learns much better in small groups of the same interest.

Never know who you will run into when you are in Banff at a Soweto Choir concert. Sorry I didn’t chat to you more. You have added a lot of entries since my last visit. Not sure how you ever manage to store all that information in your head. Have trouble remembering people’s names that I know. . Makes you really wonder who else is out there.

Awesome images old friend.
